Hearing the CALL of His Voice

There is no real discipleship or following Jesus without hearing the call of his voice. 

Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts and sometimes on the real doors of our lives.  He calls.  Those that answer find remarkable new life in the Light of Christ Jesus. 

No doubt, our faith has mystery all over it.  
I marvel again and again how the simple Gospel, when believed, transforms dead and dark lives into the light of Christ ushering in the power of the Spirit's presence. 




I've seen it on people's faces many times. 
When they surrender to Christ, 
after hearing his voice or an encounter with Jesus, 
their very countenance changes.  

 In Uganda a woman was delivered from a demonic presence that controlled her whole body. 
When she was set free, her countenance completely changed.  
Joy came over her. 
Peace filled the atmosphere around us. 
As much as dread was upon her previously,
joy, peace and the knowledge of Jesus filled her heart, eyes, and countenance. 
This was remarkable to see.  

 I wish I had some pictures.  
But usually I am too close to the action to take one. 
I do have some testimony in pictures below. 



Recently in South Asia, I witnessed the Kingdom in power over and over. 


 People coming forward to say yes to Jesus the night before, are baptized the next day! 
This young woman committed to following Jesus the night before. 
She was baptized in church the next day.
Then she offered this beautiful song of worship and praise on her first day there. 


She sang something like...
"The drums will be played when Jesus comes on the clouds like a groom. He will look so beautiful as a groom. There will be sounds of happiness in the heavens."


These were.....
Encountered in love of Jesus, Baptized the next day!






 This young woman was in different meetings.  Her hunger for the Lord continually overwhelming her. I've always known that Jesus meets us at the point of our desire for Him, then I saw it over and over.  Mystery revealed.  He captures our hearts and then our lives in his fullness.  

I've experienced this presence.  So overwhelming. So debilitating.  Receiving revelation of the Lord Jesus, in the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, is an experience beyond words.  I was so deeply encouraged by this young woman continuously pouring her heart out to Jesus and his continuous response.  Mystery revealed. 




The meeting in the night 
The secrets of the heart revealed in prophetic grace and then he gave his life to Jesus!  Considered far from God, now in his love.  A love that no one and nothing can take away. 




Vibrant faith grows from vibrant and real encounters with the living Jesus.  
If we start with "hearing his voice" nothing seems to be able to shake the reality of following him now.  He lives.  We live.  Forever with Him. 

"Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me."  John 12:26



After restoring Peter on the beach, 
Then he said to him, “Follow me!”  
John 21:19


 Peter was called to follow Jesus from then on.  Post resurrection.  Follow Jesus, Peter.  For us it's the same, "Follow Me!", he says. 

 Without his voice calling to us, it is very difficult to follow him. 
But he continually calls. 

Did you hear him?  Do you hear him now?  



Our faith is filled with the mystery of Jesus revealed. 

He speaks today. He calls people today.He reaches into our hearts and calls out, 

"Follow Me!" 


 And so it can be done today.  









Go ahead.  Run with HIM.
