Prophecy is a Magnificent Doorway. Deep, loving and penetrating prophecy is the base line of the Kingdom.

I love prophecy.  Really.  I love it.
It has encouraged me deeply and causes wonder and amazement; connection with the Father's heart.   He knows us completely.   When that realization happens in real time a doorway opens.  Doorway to the depths and riches of the knowledge of God.  Real time wonder gets mixed with divine destiny and we find ourselves deeply in him with awe.

There is so little wonder in the gathering of the Saints these days.  So little awe.  We are missing the revelation of His wonder.  Maybe its because we divorce ourselves from the depths of the mind of Christ and the beating heart of the Holy Spirit; encourage my Bride.

We NEED SOME WONDER.  OUR GOD IS WONDER-FILLED.

It is an amazing thing to see a person who does not know another, share secrets of the heart of another person through the Spirit.    Have you seen it?   Have you experienced it?   Very few things come close or drive us more deeply into the Lord's heart.   A prophetic word of love and destiny can break up deep fountains and roll back mountains of despair.

Deep, loving and penetrating prophecy is the base line of the Kingdom.
It is NORMAL.

Good prophetic ministry is full of life and health and truth.   The Spirit clearly empowers the voice of those who seek to move with him in this love.    The key word is "good".   Sadly, counterfeits have shaped so much of our thinking and experiences.   We've had too many off brands and don't know what an excellent offering of prophecy is like.   It seems that we dabble in prophecy and love the presence of the Lord in it.  It is calling for more stewarding and for deeper wisdom from the Spirit.

We've also been duped.  Somehow the enemy has us equating powerful prophetic ministry with fear and missteps, bad stories and poor character.  Pastors, as healthy sheep protectors, have found themselves too many times hearing from a person with no relationship, no visible or tangible expression of love and clearly lacking the patience and demonstrated love of the Spirit in bringing a word.   We've turned this poor example of ministry into the normal.  IT should die a quick death.  The true prophetic is lovely and reaps a reward of rich worship and wonder.

Yes.  There are a number of clear stumbling stones on the way to healthy prophetic ministry.   Building a Body with a Culture of Love along with the presupposition that prophetic ministry and atmosphere is ground zero for encouragement is key.  It is also a road that must be contended for regularly and sown into with perseverance.

In my opinion, the prophetic normal should shine with the character of Christ, the mind of Christ and the culture of the Kingdom.   The Kingdom culture is bathed in Spirit and Truth.  Love is the beginning and end of everything in the Heart of the Father.

The problem is we elevate people who seem to have divine encounters or "see" and do not possess an aligned culture.  Its like we turn off our discernment and forget the most basic reality.  The nature and character of Jesus shapes heaven's worship.  Spirit and Truth are woven into every movement of God in all realms.  The Kingdom Culture is a culture of love.   LOVE is first and last.   It echos in and through everything the Lord is doing.   Second the character of those who influence in the Kingdom is critical.  An environment can be created where believers find more strokes and elevation from spiritual encounter disconnected from the character of Christ Jesus.   True righteousness encompasses both powerful spiritual encounter and the prophetic spirit and deep and abiding nature of Jesus.   Our inheritance is in Him.   He is Holy.   We receive in faith the works of Christ in our spirits.  We combine the power and the beauty of redeemed character and prophetic beauty.  I believe a new understanding is knocking on our doors.   The old is passing away and new freedom is coming forth in the Spirit's glory.

I am so glad to see the old things passing.  I see into the new things and the grace and flow of love and prophetic joy and I can hardly contain myself.

"Our God is a consuming fire"

So, many revelatory spiritual types feel their "seeing" or "dreams" or "prophetic word" has elevated them to a place of judgement of the Body.   They don't seem to know the Lord in his deep mission of redemption.  He sought his Bride in the Father's will.   He stands in the breach.  He intercedes for us.  Nothing can defeat the love of Christ in the fulness of the Father's love.  We also baptize our culture, style and ways into some  new kind of wacky Jewish western nuvo spiritual mysticism.  This is a fundamental mis-alignment with the Spirit's heart and the truth in the Body of Christ.   It sticks in our craw wrong and it should.   Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me".  Nothing else and no one else can be lifted up as high and as gloriously as Jesus.  The true spirit of prophecy is in complete alignment with his mission and love.   It is a fire of love that breaks every stone of doubt and brokenness.

I love this passage from Jeremiah,

If they are prophets and have the word of the LORD, let them plead with the LORD Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the LORD and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

The normal function of the environment of the Lord Jesus is full of encouragement and joy and prophecy and the prophetic ministry fit into this environment like hand in glove.   Normal ms-alignments like judgement and Old Testament paradigms bring the wrong atmosphere for prophecy.  Choked, stiffled, and broken prophetic ministry without the culture of love and righteousness as the foundation stumbles along without glory and beauty.

Oh, all that we have given up
and given over because of broken and weak models and teachings.
Teachings that have not been adequate to bring the life of the Kingdom in the prophetic.

The prophetic ministry and the prophetic environment.....
It is at the very core of God's heart, roaming around with every thought, mixed with love and power.  The Mind of Christ is prophetic.  It is the heart beat of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of heaven poured into the depths of the heart.   LOVE and fire are the sounds of prophetic ministry poured out with patient endurance.

I Corinthians 14:24 says,
"But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgement by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare.  So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you".

Trusting God in the encouragement of prophecy is a joy.

Of course there is so much more to say on this.   My hope is the heart will live again in the church and burn with a mighty fire of love.   That the prophetic ministry will elevate to an even more powerful alignment with the apostolic and that grace, truth and love will roam freely as the Holy Spirit speaks deeply to the heart of those in love with Jesus.

May the Lord grant to his Bride deep revelation of his heart and our inheritance.  Jesus is being lifted up higher and higher and higher.   Let heaven come!

With love and joy,

Brother Jeff!

Dull and Lifeless - no way to live. The ways of God are always in season. Presence is ALWAYS

Sad but true.  Many vibrant and amazing believers are adrift on a vast ocean of disappointment, bitterness and hope deferred.

I have wondered in plenty of barren places over the 36+ years of following Jesus.  Well I should say perceived barren seasons.   They are perceived a certain way because of the teaching we have received that supports our mindset and understanding of the ways of God.   It has always intrigued me what those places mean and what they are intended to work in us.

 Valley of Fire National Park

There is no off season in the Kingdom of God.  The Ways of God are always in season.

Ps 1  The open door to wisdom....His delight is in the law of the Lord

He is planted like a tree
planted by the streams of water
That yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.

Graham Cooke has some foundational insights regarding the wilderness and the manifest presence seasons of our lives.   I love that he has pointed out the ways of God in each and shown that there is no true barren place as we walk with the Spirit.   Each part of the journey is, in the heart of the Father, designed to produce fruit and knowledge and understanding of Jesus.   There is no off season in the Kingdom of God.

The manifest presence is wonderful.   The hidden-ness of God is wonderful as well.  Each experience produces life and love in a new and particular way.   The hidden seasons, most often called deserts, are rich and transforming places of simple and true grace.   Being stripped of all non-essentials is one of the deepest blessings of the journey with Jesus.  We find him and the deepest truths lodging in our soul, mind and spirit with power and concrete surety.  Real transformation, inner change,  the kind that lasts for eternity, is forged in the hidden and desert places of the soul.   All distractions cease and our attention is securely focused.   When He speaks his voice resounds and clearly reverberates off the wall of our inner temple.   Our God is a consuming fire.  In the fireplace of his love new righteouness is woven into us.  In the dry and desert places we learn to walk with faith.   We become accustomed to walking without sight.   We learn deeper truth.  We see Jesus in daily moment to moment presence.   Nothing strips away the truths written on us in the desert.   We gain new understanding of Jesus and our relationship deepens.   The most amazing blessing of the desert is we come to know the presence is ALWAYS.   When we come to know the presence without emotion or sight we have entered into the heavenly tabernacle.   From here the sight will never be the same.

I love the desert for all that it brings.   Granted, it can be dirty.  It is lonely.  It is hot.  It is difficult.   It takes patient endurance to stay focused.   But Jesus passes through this country with bounty and blessing.   He does not fear the desert or downplay it.  He is found there as in every other place as he fills everything in every way!

The desert is the foundry of God's amazing servants.

The desert is where the strong learn that their earthly strength is nothing in comparison to the glory of heaven filling their weakness.   This is where we learn that we can do nothing without him.   Heaven has to fill us if it is to fill the earth.  Eternal things originate with the Father.

Manifest presence is equally wonderful.  But we seem to prefer it.   Sure, it is more like a well watered garden.   It is easy to dwell in a lush place.   When the manifest presence is pouring out on us it is time to "seek the Lord while he may be found".   Priorities shift in manifest presence just as they do in the desert.   We learn to give ourselves over to the overwhelming flood.   We learn to surrender to the deeper ways of the Spirit.  Fears rise and are overcome.  We see all those who draw back in manifest presence.  It is equally daunting to the places of the heart that are not surrendered.   It calls out passion and first love.  It runs past all barriers to engage Jesus.  It worships, prays and seeks with emotion and strong desire.   Generally manifest presence is an individual experience in a crowd.  It can be in the closet, but often is wide and out in the open.  It gathers in those far from him.  It calls out with overwhelming power those whose hearts no longer feel.  I love manifest presence.

Heaven focuses in not on where we are on the journey but who we journey with.

Jesus is who we follow, walk like, love like, and know the Father like.   He can be known deeply in every season.  Because he fills all things in every way and because he is bringing a Kingdom that does not spoil or fade we can know him in unlimited glory in every season.   Deeper knowledge of the seasons helps us understand how to "agree with the Spirit" and embrace in fulness the glory of each season.   Yet, it is Jesus who we find in each one.   Just like the seasons of the world and love, we stay focused on our lover through the changing cycles of the world.

Walking in the fulness of His presence is an amazing grace that nothing compares to.   Growing in grace and wisdom helps us stay focused in heart and surrendered to follow regardless of the seasons ease or challenge.    Our goal is Christ Jesus.  Our heart is fulness of joy in his presence.   Interpreting the times and seasons does not make us closer.  It helps us understand how to capture the fulness of grace, hope and love through faith in our LORD.

To uninhibited pathways of the heart after Jesus!

Unity, Bankruptcy, ONE CUP ONE LORD ONE FAITH

Unity, Bankruptcy, ONE CUP ONE LORD ONE FAITH
April 11, 2014

Bankruptcy.  Bankruptcy is recognition.  Recognition of the empty cup.  Recognition that every avenue has either led to nowhere or is a closed door.

Much of what passes for unity these days is in my opinion bankrupt.  The problem is people are satisfied with or completely unaware of greater demonstrations of unity and grace.   In essence we are confounded by what lies before us.  The lands surrounding us do not look like what we understand to be unity in the Kingdom, yet we continue sowing old wine skins.  We find the outcomes of our efforts lackluster yet we continue to sow the same seeds over and over expecting different results.  We do not have the mindset, grace, love and sacrifice required to penetrate the confounding boarders of the time and season.   Bankrupt.  The cup is empty.  So why do we cling to it?

Sometimes it takes a bankruptcy to wake us up.

We are drinking from cups the Father has emptied
So that we would be emptied and drink from the ONE CUP.

As I interact and talk with those invested in greater things and the advance of the Kingdom of God today, I hear the empty cups clanging.   As I work in the Central Oregon environment of the Kingdom,  the tangible expression of the Kingdom could be characterized by fragmentation, empty pathways, old wine skins and surrender to discouraged mindsets and teaching.    There is a strong awareness of the broken paths, hearts and roadways, but little deep surrender and abiding in Jesus - Author and Perfecter of our FAITH.

I have this image in my minds eye.  People picking up the cup from the table.  Looking inside.  Bringing the cup to their lips and seeking a drink.  But the cup is empty.  Nothing flows from it anymore.  Yet, over and over we pick it up and seek a drink from it.

At critical points along the journey of the church (ekklesia of Jesus) there appears to me to be moments when the Father in his loving and wisdom filled grace strips us of all that is worthless and points us with divine power and energy to the ONE CUP - Jesus Christ - Alpha and Omega - Beginning and the End.

Now.  This is a ONE CUP season across the globe.

Dallas Willard said, "We take people in the flight of their assumptions and let the air out of the balloon."  I have always found that to be a statement I want to fully embrace but find a somewhat radical relational posture in it.   Yet, it seems to me that the Father is drying up the cups we trust and the avenues of drink for the ONE CUP of Jesus Christ and him crucified.

The Holy Spirit is taking us in flight of our assumptions and revealing to us the bankruptcy of our present mindsets, teachings and spiritual wells.

"For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water."
Jer 2:13

It is an amazing gift from the Holy Spirit to see the depths of repair required to mend the wall and restore the cities to glory, grace and freedom.   Some are working so hard for the glory of Christ's ekklesias.

Reflection:  Celtic Cross -
The Celtic Cross reflects on the interwoven glory of God's people.  It seeks to speak to the "manifold wisdom" of God revealed in the ekklesias of Christ.   The power and truth of the Way of Jesus is spectacular.  His manifold wisdom and love combine with pure and holy righteousness to form teaching, actions, revelation in his people that break all boarders, heal all wounds, breach all doubts and heal all diseases.
The Celtic Cross speaks of unity in the ONE CUP of Christ.  It witnesses to the diverse power of God in mind numbing magnitude that confounds the power and authorities and smashes with a whisper what has stood for ages but opposes the advance of his glory.

In the realms in which I am living and serving we have yet to penetrate the depths and riches of unity.   Maybe we need to face the empty cups.   Stop attempting to drink from them and pour ourselves into the ONE CUP - Jesus Christ and him crucified.

"But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

Is it time to re-imagine?

"These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
I Cor 2:9-10

Lets run after the depth and riches of the knowledge of Jesus.  Let the Holy Spirit set the standards of righteousness.   Let Jesus guide us into new pathways of glory and fruitfulness.

Religion is not hungry at a four star table.

Pro 27:7 "One who is full loathes honey, but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet."

Put down the many cups.  Pick up the ONE CUP - Jesus Christ.

Defy Gravity II: NO FEAR - There is no fear in heaven. So why is there so much fear in us and on earth?

NO FEAR

There is no fear in heaven.  So why is there so much fear in us and on earth?

Jesus does not use fear to motivate us.
He does not relate to us out of fear
Jesus calls us into his character, His Name as a refuge from all fears.

Fear of failing.  Fear of succeeding.  Fear of even thinking about one or the other.  Fear of heights.  Fear of falling.   Fear of loss.   On and on the list goes.  But in heaven there is no fear.  NONE.   Just saying that drops a nice peace bomb into my heart and mind.  Do you feel it?

Fear can find clear justification in our minds.  Things happen to us and we remember.  Painful unjust things happen.  Accidents happen.  We don't want those things to occur again.  We fear the possibility.   This could be where we embrace fear without thinking.   We don't question the presupposition; our thoughts at this level go unnoticed.   We all know in this world things happen that are out of our control.  They happen to everyone sometime in life.   The prevailing culture wants us to believe they don't.  Seemingly perfect people are propped up before us daily.  But these are just moments in their journey.  Dig into their story a little.  You will find it is much like your own.

The most damaging fears are connected to thoughts we do not even recognize or challenge.  Like the perfect people paraded before us each day.   Dallas Willard points to this key idea in his book "The Divine Conspiracy".  The most damaging thoughts are those we never even recognize or call into question.  They simply live under the surface of our lives and support all the plants that grow out in the open.

I believe there is a refuge from fear.  Listen to these words.

"Bu now, God's message.  The God who made you in the first place,
Jacob, the One who got you started , Israel:
"Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you.  I've called you by name.
You're mine.  When you're in over your head, I'll be there with you.
When you are in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you are between a rock and a hard place it wont be a dead end -----".   Isaiah 43:1-3

Jesus does not use fear to motivate us.
He does not relate to us out of fear
Jesus calls us into his character, His Name as a refuge from all fears.
It takes revelation of who Jesus is to trust solely in His NAME.
But when we abide there a whole new world is seen in his eyes.

The Enemy of our souls and of every living being on planet earth seeks to teach us to drink fear like water and eat it for breakfast everyday.

The Enemy of our souls and of every living being on the earth....
Serves up fear as a prison
Serves fear as deep control of heart, mind, soul and spirit.
Uses every means available to point us into fear and build in us a life of fear.
The Enemies of the Cross call us into and design gateways of fear and build fear upon fear upon fear.

The Enemies work needs to be defeated through the Cross, the Resurrected new life and the Ascended reality of our Heaven and Earth connection.

I marvel at the freedom God allows us.   Freedom to run after him with unlimited grace and hunger being satisfied over and over.  And the freedom to completely mess it all up.  There are deep wells of grace that are yet to be understood.  Mercy flows from the heart of the Father as deep as the Mariana trench.   God is love and we do not yet understand love in the fullness of Jesus Christ.

But, the little we do understand tells us that FEAR is a prison.  It holds no part of love.  Fear is the dungeon, the captivity of the condemned world.

'The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in the land of deep darkness,
on them has light shone."  Isaiah 9:2

Fear possess no light.   Fear seeks to hold us captive in its threat of further trouble, darkness, loss.

A WAY is always before us now.  A way to freedom.  Repentance and forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus!   God made a deal with himself.  That through his perfect offering, a sinless life, he would pay for all our imperfect offerings.   He covenanted in his own blood and signed a deal with himself that satisfied his justice and poured out his love.   He made the way complete open and effective to deal with every fear and captivity.  Nothing in heaven or on earth can separate us from his love and nothing can hold us back from it either.  We simply surrender and believe.   That puts the Blood of Christ to work in our bodies, minds, souls and spirits.

When I let the mind of the flesh run wild I find that fear and calculation start many of my thoughts.  I am thinking from the place of fear and control.  I am working in the realms of the earth and acting in her power.
When I let the mind of Christ start my thoughts, thinking, mindsets, a whole new and different direction emerges right over the top of the fallen world.   His Kingdom emerges and grace and mercy fill up my mind and heart.   I find connection to Jesus in every moment when I feed the Mind of Christ in me and sow to the Spirit first.

Living life in and through the kingdom is intended to be a no fear life.  We can run forever in the freedom and grace of the Lord Jesus.  He won every victory in the universe and fills everything in every way.

Oh to know the Mind of Christ!

"...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places...."  Ephesians 1:17-20

Follow the way to freedom and no fear.  Surrender to Christ.  Believe on his NAME.  Find grace in mercy in your time of need.

With all love in the Lord Jesus,

So, Why Do I Write About the Jezebel spirit?

I woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning somewhat disturbed.   The emotions of the
We war not against flesh and blood-Bali Ooga
dream I had just awoke from, were deep.   I knew this was a divine dream as it covered important and key seasons of my life and then went into new themes that were deep in my heart.   From black and white in the first half of the dream, it moved into technicolor with a turn of my head.  I was looking into what appeared to be themes of my calling.   In particular it focused on the fivefold and on the heart of worship, or more closely, the restoration of worship in the Church through the confrontation and defeat of the Jezebel spirit.

"But I have this against you,
that you tolerate that woman Jezebel,
who calls herself a prophetess
and is teaching and seducing my servants....."
Jesus - Rev 2:20

Here is how the future dream came about.

One evening about 15 months ago, I was watching PBS.  My son Luke calls it Old people's broadcasting service.   He could be right.  There was a show on Nova about dreams.  The show stirred me and reminded me of all the dreams that I had been having.   After the show I went to up to bed and before turning off the light I asked the Holy Spirit to "show me my future in a dream".   Regularly, I spend time with the Lord before bed, reading the word, reading my journal, listening to the Spirit and praying prior to sleeping asking for the Spirit to speak to me as I sleep.

Over the past 28 months I've had more divine dreams than all the years combined that I have known the Lord (36 yrs).  Some of the dreams are extensive.  Waking in the night directly after these dreams, all of which occur at or around 3 p.m. I find myself compelled to get up and record every detail.   Wide awake in the middle of the night, there is a still in the air, a quiet that further sinks the dreams into my mind and heart.   Dreams and vision communications are throughout the New Testament.  The first four chapters of Matthew show the divine family finding their way through angels and dreams.

Deeper behind the scenes.  Dreams, visions, heavenly encounters.

A prophetic voice spoke over our fellowship and our region in November 2011.  They spoke that the "fountains of the deep' would be broken up.  That people would dream in technicolor and that dreaming in the Lord would be multiplied.   They also spoke about meeting the Lord at 3 am.   The number of encounters in the night, at 3 am, are to numerous to recall.   I have only been able to keep track by recording things in my journals.

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you and I will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known."

It fascinates me how the Spirit can speak through dreams.
They touch on so many things at once
and create a treasure chest for the hungry
to seek out the meaning and message.

"When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

Our environment has been alive with the Spirit encouraging and building up a new understanding of righteousness and of the Lord Jesus.   Our hearts are being enlightened in the continuous flow of worship in power and revelation.  It has been amazing to be part of.

When the crux of what the Spirit is seeking to establish is a new righteousness, worship comes up as the first place love, connection and revelation.

As we drift farther from revelation the first love fires of the heart are the first to go.   Sin destroys connection if unchecked.  Offense destroys passion.   Wounds in our hearts become doorways for healing or oppression.   They call us to action in the Spirit.  They touch on what needs healing and our pathways of freedom begin in those victories.

The dreams I've had point me to an encounter.
Worship in Spirit and Truth is shinning brightly in some place but the masses do not appear captivated by the Lord.  We most likely are captivated by age old sensual powers.   The whole realm of prophecy, spiritual insight and the realms of the Spirit can easily float out and into the distortions of the age.   Discernment is critical.  Love is even more important.

1Co 14:1
"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy."
One of the key things the enemy will seek to destroy is the prophetic nature of the church and the powerful leading of the Holy Spirit in the spirit of prophecy in worship.   Worship is in the spirit of prophecy, as it is a Spirit and Truth agreement with heaven about the nature and person of the Lord Jesus.  It is about welcoming Him (Ps 24) as he is.  It is a first truth.

The Jezebel spirit focuses on destroying all things of Spirit and Truth in worship, soul and mind.  These are the realms in which it lives, breathes, and cunningly seeks to destroy.  These are the realms of sensuality (body and soul - Arts) of sexuality (passion and glory- worship and prophecy) of purity (soul freedom and harmony) and power (sacrifice and love).

I have lost many battles with the Jezebel spirit.  I have warred on all fronts, in business, in worship, in Kingdom leadership, in personal purity and holiness.   I have failed to grasp the wide river of destruction plowing through our country and the real devastation that flows in the wake of this vile spirit.  Maybe you have as well?

Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, I have become aware of the implications and devastating nature of these powers and principalities.    I see the deep connection of worship to the realms this Jezebel spirit seeks to disrupt and destroy.   Our pathway is not condemnation.  It is deliverance, freedom, joy and laughter.

We are invited to freedom and pathways of grace that puts a smile on our hearts, minds, soul and spirit.

Final thought.
Jesus could have addressed many things to the church in the prophetic writing of John the Apostle in Revelation.   These are Jesus' words.  In fact the last written and spoken words of Jesus in the Scriptures as the books lay out.  He chose to address the Jezebel spirit with some very stern consequences.   The Cross of Christ, the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus represent the most significant and far reaching spiritual battle ever entered on planet earth.  All others pale in comparison.  Jesus won back Spirit and Truth worship and perfect love with the Father....for you and me.   I believe his "eyes of fire" are directly related to his righteousness and holiness and that they set up the real and ongoing encounter of freeing captives and prisoners from the Jezebel captivity.  There are far reaching consequences to "tolerating" the Jezebel spirit.   Time is up.  If we want significant breakthrough for the average everyday believer the battle ground is clearly in these realms.

What do you think?

You Fascinate Me Jesus, So Why Are You Thought To Be So Irrelevant?

To the one captivated by the love of God, Jesus is beyond words.

To the most normal person in our culture Jesus is irrelevant, unimportant beyond any comprehensible value to everyday life.

How is this so?

And what kind of effect does this surrounding culture have on us?  On or understanding and our ability to know The Lord deeply?  How does the everyday in and out of our cultural mindset effect our sense of following Jesus?   How does it limit our understanding of what following Jesus means?

Where does he sit in your life?

There is a lot of good talk today about the impossible.  About God being the God of the impossible.  About establishing a culture that believes the impossible is part of the everyday Christian life.   There are just a few impossible things mentioned in Scripture.  God cannot lie.  Impossible.  And in Hebrews it talks about an impossible thing.   The impossibility of pleasing God without faith being at the forefront of all we are doing.

The current season in the Spirit requires us to kneed into our thinking and mindset new thoughts about how the Kingdom is activated in us.  How love for the King thrives and passion builds.

So how is faith to be the forefront of our relationship with Jesus?
How are we to grasp the riches in the oceans filled with such little actual revelation or understanding?  In my opinion, much of the water has drained out of the pools of inspired teaching and understanding.   The waters that fill up the pools of resource appear weak at best in the depth and riches of the knowledge of God.  Are we in transition?  Are we in crisis?
Is the landscape of the Spirit changing right under our feet?

What contributes to our lack and the overall low water of spiritual depth?

Earth driven mindsets need to be replaced with throne down mindsets.
We are filled up with the earth, the practical, the immediate.   Our lives rarely stop to simply dwell in the presence of the HOLY.     Consider the average Christians time in the presence?  Possibly two times a month at church, maybe a bible study or prayer meeting.  Maybe.   Kingdom first and righteousness first living?   Spiritual pursuits almost seem to be two dimensional in the earth enveloped mindset.  Stale hollow men and women clinging to religious ideas.  We need encounter. Then we need to build the truths and love into a way of life, a Kingdom life.

How about resting in Scripture and meditating on the Word in an open ended environment of surrender?   Living in the presence as a way of life all the time?  Following the Spirit moment to moment as a living sacrifice?   How about this banner over our lives, "Spend Me As You Will".

In an earth mindset our goals and imaginations revolve around achieving ends in the earth. We are consumed with dirt and work and status.   We start with earth and somehow expect deep spiritual realities to simply fall down on us.   What originates with earth typically produces in like kind.....earth.   Earth perspectives.  Earth thinking.  I am remembering something from the ancient wisdom....

My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,  declares the Lord
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my thoughts than your thoughts.   Isaiah 55:8-9

The beginning of all things is Jesus.  He is the Alpha of heavens originating voice.  He is also the end of everything as the Omega.   Everything created finds its origination and consummation in him.   What begins with Jesus can also end with Jesus.

Tragically, so little of what we consider fundamental Christian living does not require God to sustain it, to accomplish it, or to see it come to fruition.

More so, the typical function and activity of a "normal" church requires very little of the Lord to exercise nearly all of its "ministry".  Rarely do we actually put ourselves out there in such a way that if God does not connect with, love, encounter, heal and deliver we are empty and nothing truly happens.

If it does not originate in the Father's heart or from the inheritance of The Lord Jesus what is it?   Jesus' prayer was for heaven to invade earth.  For heavens reality to be seen and known in the people who bear his NAME.

How can something originating in men be infused with a measure of faith to operate it?  Jesus is the King of the Kingdom of God.   He is the Head.   How can we originate the Kingdom without direct leading of the Spirit?

When we miss the beginning we miss the ending.  Faith will always be the immediate and daily requirement for following Jesus through the leading of the Spirit.

Earth driven mindsets do not require that I deal with God, exercise faith to orchestrate them or sustain them.   They feed off the earth.   Culture sustains mindsets for whole groups of people.  It is intended to drive us to earth perspectives; to cause us to let go any notions of faith as fundamental to our action.  Scripture speaks of the kosmos or world order as ruled by the Prince of the Power of the Air.   It is infused by intention of the Enemy of Love with every passion quenching and destructive element he can build into it.  Or should we say into us.

Kingdom Assignments call out faith and birth deeper more mature identity.

One avenue I have been exploring for remaining in a posture of faith is to embrace prophetic identity words and press deeply into stewarding prophetic encouragements.

We function on such a low level of assignment -typically only in terms of gifting.   The ekklesia of Jesus functions on the level of assignment and revolves around our heavenly identity.   When assignment and identity are united in a Kingdom mindset, mixed with faith and understand a whole new measure of power, love and freedom gets released.    When we mix prophetic encouragement into the picture we begin to enter into the fire of Kingdom righteousness.

Assignment by nature is derived  from heaven and carries with it clear kingdom identity. That identity is forged in the inheritance and victory of Jesus.   It is already part of heaven's ultimate revelation of love.   We are invited to walk the assignments out in faith with a great deal of hope poured on patient endurance.  Love is the fruit of this kind of life.   Faith is the fuel for assignment living and following of the Spirit's lead.

Much of what is called discipleship today is far from compelling and engaging learning.  To do and be what the Master Jesus did and is requires faith expressed in reality.   The classroom of Jesus was the day to day following of the Holy Spirit in releasing the Kingdom of God by faith to the fallen world.   We opt for a classroom.   We opt for principles.   Jesus opted for hands on discovery.   Jesus opted for life.

Much of our problem today is mindset.   How we understand Jesus and the world around us.   Much of the teaching that sustained the moves of God in the past are lacking in producing zeal and passion and do not strip people in the presence of Jesus.    We have such a low opinion of The Lord Jesus and the Church that we cannot see over the wall and into the glory that is being poured out.

Lack of perception is a form of divine withdrawal.   It should cause us to hunger for him. Instead it produces arrogance and offense at God.   The opposite.   We say, "I don't need God"  so God makes a life in which we don't need him.   Then we say we never needed him and we live in that reality.   Yet that reality gnaws away at us.  Steals our souls and lead us to emptiness.   We say "God is distant" so God makes himself distant as requested.

You will not serve God in your own land.
So you will serve foreign gods in a land that is not your own.

It is remarkable that God used me.  When I look back into the person I was and what God did with that, I am fascinated with HIM, his ways, His wisdom and beauty.  What an amazing mystery is Christ in me.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life
