Riding the Winds of the Spirit - Bali 2018

As the sun came up, I was in one of my favorite spots, on the roof.

Morning breaks beautifully in Bali, Indonesia. A sweet light spills over the landscape, delicate and creamy. The night noises of the jungle gives way to the sounds of birds, the roosters morning crows and the moving and promptings of the Spirit in daylight prayer. I am always looking for opportunity to get a higher vision or understanding. To see in the Holy Spirit my surroundings, times and seasons.

Before leaving for this three week venture in the Kingdom Gospel, I received a word of encouragement from Psalm 91.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

I always wanted a greater invitation to Psalm 91. It is such an amazing declaration. But, I always felt others more deserving of its promise. A good and faithful friend prophesied the Psalm to me for the trip. Overjoyed I was now sitting on the roof top in Bali with a mission team member taking the morning prayer (7-8 am) and he was reading Psalm 91.

The Comforter spoke this to me as a focus in the words of the Psalm.

You will tread on the lion and the cobra;

you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Psalm 91:13

Just like the crow of a rooster, the Bali mission launched out in the leading and blessing of the Holy Spirit. My excitement to be praying into Psalm 91 on the first morning in Bali grew into multiple reminders of prophetic words, dreams and angelic support and ministry.

After the previous trip a friend called. She had a dream about Bali. She was an intercessor for the trip and a dear friend with continuous prophetic insight over the years. She described 4 angels moving onto the land of Bali. Large angels with powerful mission, mission to support the Saints in advancing the Gospel of the Kingdom. They set their feet down along the beach area of Bali.

Without knowing it, I was now praying in that area. Praying Psalm 91 in agreement with another team member, the Spirit and the Ministering Spirits of fire who stand before the Lord. Hebrews 1:7-9; 14

In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits,

and his servants flames of fire.”^d

8But about the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;

a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;

therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions

by anointing you with the oil of joy.”^e

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? verse 14

Yea. Nice way to start things off in Bali 2018.

In truth this foundation of prayer, Holy Spirit guidance in dreams, vision, word of knowledge, prophetic grace opened the way to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom abundantly and with effect.

I was reminded of what the Lord pointed out to me ever so clearly on my last trip to Bali.

There may be 1000 gates that appear locked down, a hundred doors that looked closed, but Jesus always has an open gate for the Gospel of peace.

It is a remarkable thing to travel in, through and with the Holy Spirit and see these open gates in a place that would appear so closed and resistant. On this three week venture in the Spirit, we walked through so many open doors in churches, hearts, ministries, we were overwhelmed.

Carrying this perspective back into America, I long to convey the magnitude of the simple grace that moves like a tidal wave of love and encouragement.

There are no geographic boundaries for the Kingdom of God.
There are no time realities to this eternal Kingdom.
America is a nation like all the others.

The Gospel of the Kingdom through the Spirit's power and leading needs to be poured out on our Nation.

The manifold wisdom that speaks a clear message to principalities and powers originates in the mind of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. It's not programs and lights and so many of the things we have our focus on. It is the love of God in motion through the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is wonderful and awe inspiring. It is real time geographic open doors and grates that can never be shut again.

The grace of the Spirit that puts smiles on the hearts of the Saints, which for so long have been weeping and downcast. Seeing only gates locked down, and endlessly being affronted by the anti-Christ spirit, it is easy to loose sight and loose track of the boundless glory of the Lord and his clear and specific leading through the Holy Spirit.

I plan to tell this story in its fullness. That will be tough with all the challenges and forward motion already landing on me as I return home. This mission of Christ, this moving of the Spirit, cannot be lost to the relentless pressures, strongholds and gates we see before us that appear locked down and closed.

The truth is this world rests securely in the hands of the living God.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

In closing today, I want to sincerely thank all the intercessors, financial partners, church families, and my family. Together the Lord opened the way for a much greater work and gave me the vision or sight of revival in Bali. Clearly, I can see the moving of the Spirit in remarkable new ways. Ways of freedom, unity, power and supernatural preaching of Christ crucified (I Corinthians 2:1-5). The way the Spirit wove the Gospel story, opened doors no man can shut and poured love and encouragement in the Holy Spirit was nothing short of remarkable. Our team simply followed.

What is growing in me day after day is an increased measure of awe and wonder for the Lord Jesus.

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. Hebrews 1:1-4

The freedom, favor, love and environment of the Spirit is manifold grace and glory and the most wonderful to walk in with Jesus. Over the coming days I will share more of the amazing testimony the Spirit gave to this remarkable Jesus.

It's time for the church to start going with the Gospel. Literally going out into the world, sent by Jesus and led of the Spirit to walk into the open gates of praise.

I will be near him.

I will find everything I need in Him.

I will abide as the beginning of everything.

Abiding to the finish of his will by grace in faith.

To know Jesus Christ.

This the the journey that lasts forever.

John 17:3 To know the Father and the son he sent.

The Number one and primary engagement of the Ekklesia of Jesus is to know Jesus.

Good Works, Doors and Keys - Knit Together Pursuing Jesus

Paul focuses not on what he wants to do.But rather on who he wants to know.

"But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in^a Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,11and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:7-14

Son lit roads in the Wilderness

Its in knowing and following Jesus, or walking in the Spirit, that we find out what we are to do. The Kingdom is building and building. It grows on identity and assignment in the perfect work of Jesus on the Cross, in Resurrection and as Ascended Son of God and High Priest of heaven.

When I do the things he calls out in me by faith through grace -

I will be near him. I will find "it all" in Him.I will abide as the beginning of everything.

Doing has little value outside of knowing Jesus - John 15:5
As faith without works is dead.
Doing things without Jesus is dead.

The significance of a "well done good and faithful servant" goal, is we accomplish what God has planted in us and through us. We demonstrate the grace of God in power by faith and walk in the works prepared for us. We do his will.

Significance is not in what we can think up to make our faith significant. Rather, it is found in what God has prepared and ordered that will bless, impart, impact and release his glory in millions of people. Simple obedience is a hallmark of our faith and of Israel's walk with God. It is throughout Scripture and it is front and center with Jesus.

This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. 14“You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17“This I command you, that you love one another.

John 15:12-17

Servants obey. Friends understand and love. Obedience is the result of both paths. But friendship with God is definitely better than errands and check lists. Step up into the deeper love and obey the Lord. Step into the greatest love and let his grace measure lead you to laying down your life.

The beauty is good works are prepared by God for us, in advance, in Christ Jesus. Eph 2:10

Walking into his good works, works planned by the Father in the fullness of Jesus, works by the power of the Holy Spirit, is the joy of walking in fellowship with the Trinity God.

Good Works, Doors and Keys

As I prepare to head off to Bali, Indonesia next week, I recall the perception of a 1000 gates of the Enemy. Everywhere I looked there were limitations to pouring fourth the Gospel of the Kingdom in power and with freedom. Even the believers were gated up and fearful of letting God reign in all his truth and love. Each Gate was intended to block, hinder, oppose the advancing Kingdom of Jesus Christ and each one appeared locked tight. As I looked at those and prayed, I sensed the Spirit remind me of key scriptures to "see" with.

Matthew 16:17-19
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,^b and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades^c will not overcome it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be^d bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be^e loosed in heaven.”

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17

The gates we are to crash? The Holy Spirit leads us to those and empowers us to crash them. The open doors and gates we are to go through? The Spirit leads those as well. Always making a way where one does not appear readily available.

Jesus' purpose is alive and prepared. Out in front of us we will find doors, open avenues to pass through with the grace we carry and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The enemy uses culture, economic realities, debased lifestyles, drugs, etc... to tie up the people God is after and blind their eyes to the Gospel(2 Corinthians 4). So what were we to do in a land of 1000 gates? A land of fear. A land where Christians were kept in their place by fearful threats if they shared the Gospel?

Side Note: I have news. Americans are equally afraid to share their faith. I've seen and experienced fear rising up whenever we call forth a powerful witness of Jesus in our country. Fear shows us we have something to lose.

The Holy Spirit had doors prepared in advance for us to walk through.
What I learned is....

There is always an open door. The Holy Spirit sends us to find these and walk right into them for the advance of the Kingdom of God.

The good fight is given to us.
It's not our possession.
Its a call.
It a measure or portion, a piece, of the abundant, boundless, victory of Jesus. Its given to us to steward and impart to the Saints and the world around us by faith.

Our grace calling, imparted in wisdom and revelation by Jesus, is a portion of the victory, booty and spoils from the battle with the enemy (Ephesians 4:8-10).

It's just a matter of time - till we see it all come to pass.

Knowing Jesus first, which is eternal life and the call of all the Saints (Matthew 6:33; John 17:3),
leads us to co-laboring with him in the grace he imparts.
Knit together we abide in Jesus, pursuing him and freely sharing his glory with the world.
We take on his courageous Generosity.
It is both the knowledge and impact of accomplishing the Father's will, and the very power to continue the ministry of freedom and redemption (Isaiah 61).

Ministry as the goal puts us way off and on the wrong path.
