When I arrived in Uganda for the first time a few weeks ago, I determined in my heart that I would focus on the ability of God and the boundless resource of his Kingdom in Jesus and focus on meeting the needs in front of me. Thanks Heidi B.
Wow! What an avenue to the grace, power, love and outpouring of the Kingdom of Jesus.
Needs appear everywhere. In Uganda. In America. Everywhere.
Often we let our whole understanding of the world focus on the unmet needs. What is not healed. What is broken. Right away we get overwhelmed. I'm not sure we are designed for this. And so it doesn't work for us. We are designed by God, the God of Love, to love the world like he does. To add to it. To give away love that flows from the Father's heart.
When we don't....
We get discouraged.
We get cynical.
We get critical.
We get depressed.
We loose our worship and prayer.
Our hearts grow cold.
We stop abiding.
We start deriding God for what he is not doing.
We miss the whole point.....
What is he doing?
The Kingdom of God is received.
The Kingdom of God is welcomed.
It flows from the inheritance of the Lord Jesus and with his design and desire.
Tie this into "without me you can do nothing." John 15:5
Thoughts and teachings have a way of producing fruit.
Gazing upon the want of the world without a solution is sure to bring down our spirit. Expecting the Kingdom of God to break forth in miracles, healing, love and grace is another way of looking at things.
Jesus' Kingdom is coming into the world and he is bringing...
Healing
Love
Deliverance
Freedom
Joy
Peace
Understanding
Hope
Faith
Truth
Grace
These things are endless
These things have no LAW dictating their use.
Freely you have received them.
Freely give them away.
Jesus made clear we would always be faced with need.
The world is always going to have a need, a crisis, a war, a disaster somewhere.
Until everything is brought into unity, all things in heaven and on earth, under Christ.
Eph 1:10
Our lives regularly encounter the same.
We are a small microcosm of the reality around us.
We are in this world but not of it.
Something very strange and wonderful is happening in and through us.
We Carry a Kingdom.
A boundless resource of love, salvation and grace that meets the world where we are standing.
Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God is here" and demonstrated that with all the wonders of love and salvation.
We carry that same Kingdom of God within us.
We have access to the incredible boundless resource of Jesus Kingdom.
Love runs in front of it.
Hope keeps it flowing and moving in the activity of our lives and out into the world.
Faith builds things out of nothing with the energy and power of the Kingdom and makes opportunity for Hope and LOVE.
What a Kingdom.
What a King!
That is where the beauty of the Kingdom of God breaks in, flows in and bursts into the world around us.
In and through and by Jesus in his Kingdom.
In and through and by the Kingdom abiding in Jesus that is abiding in US.
He also made it clear that we are always equipped in him to bring something life changing. We carry with us the most powerful love, grace, and mercy available on the planet.
And we are able to freely give it away in an overwhelming abundance to the people right in front of us.
Premise
God's LOVE is the ultimate connection, encounter, contact, and touch of life.
God's love is encountered in HOPE - tangible real ways to engage the blessings and grace in Jesus Christ.
Our faith produces the cups of HOPE.
In and through Hope LOVE finds a home in the human heart.
IN all of this Jesus Christ touches and changes the world through the limitless boundless abundance of his Kingdom.
We don't like this so much. Being faced with more need than we appear to have resource for.
But in the Kingdom of God there is always enough.
There is always a seed for faith.
There is always a way for Hope.
There is always enough love to encounter the situation with the Love of Jesus.
This is all too simple for many of us.
To simple.
To.....
In the simplicity of a child Jesus pointed out that this Kingdom comes to earth.
Start with pouring out LOVE to the world in front of you. The boundless love, grace, and mercy that God has poured out into us.
It is that simple.
Watch what happens. You will be part of the story.
One you will tell for melinnia around camp fires in heaven.
While you smile, look across the fire, into the faces of those who encountered Jesus through your small, childlike faith, hope and love.
I have good news. ALL this is yours in Christ Jesus! And his open invitation.....
