Japan - A Nation of Wonder and Beauty - Who Will Go?

Ramping up for this trip to Japan has been wonderful.

My long time friend from Japan and his son visited our church in June.

The Spirit quickened me to many things previously spoken and pointed to things which I thought were long dead.  Reminded of encounters, words, and a deep love for the Japanese people, a return to Japan seemed farthest from my plans.

Now our feet are nearly on the ground.  And we are traveling to a part of Japan I have wanted to walk in for a decade.

Over the past few days the Lord has been pointing out many things and preparing our "message".  We have also built a strong intercession team.

Our paths are prayerfully covered with Isaiah 58:11-12

Isaiah 58:11-12New International Version (NIV)

11 The Lord will guide you always;
    he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
    and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
    like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
    Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

The call to Revive, Restore, Renew the Bride of Christ and preach the simple Gospel of the Kingdom is burning in our hearts.

We are walking in the ways of sending  -  in the Gospels Jesus sends the apostles and the 72 (Matthew 10; Luke 9 and 10.  And sends the disciples of all times and eras out into the harvest fields.  A true disciple is one who can be sent.

Mark 3:13-15
 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. 14He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15and to have authority to drive out demons.

 Is it in fact, the highest honor of the Kingdom to be sent?
Isaiah hears the Voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? (Isa 6:8)  We are typically and easily focused on "being with Him".  Why are we not so easily focused on being sent by Him?

Is our lack of seeing miracles directly related to the fact that we are not sent, not going to preach the Gospel of the KingdomSigns and wonders, healing and deliverance's confirm the word of the Simple Gospel.

Mel Tari, says in "Like a Mighty Wind" "Jesus told us to go and preach the gospel. He promised that these signs would follow them that go."  Jesus said "Go out unto the world" and we stay in our churches. So, the World says, "We'd better go into the churches".  The world has now come into our church and has polluted all the spiritual things in the church...."  His idea is either we go or they come.  No middle ground.  The church either goes to the world with this powerful grace filled Kingdom or the world invades the church with it's sin and distorted mindsets.  Sounds about right to me.

As Jesus sent the apostles and the 72, we are staying with men of peace who have welcomed us.  From these locations we are moving out into the wider community.

Some simple truths we are walking in....

Jesus is King of the kings of the earth - Revelation 1  Every nation is uniquely created by him and for him to shine with his glory and grace.  We expect to find keys to missional open doors for the advance of the Gospel as we link with men and women of peace who welcome and receive us as kingdom ambassadors.
Strongholds and captivity can be broken

Everything was created by him and for him - Col 1:15f  As much as the world throws up resistance, there is always a way of advance and open doors in a nationWe are sent, called to go, and walk in the Spirit into these doorsIn Bali, Indonesia I recognized a 1000 gates.  Closed off ways where the Gospel was not welcome.  But the Holy Spirit always provided a simple door, open for the Gospel.  We need to learn to follow these in the U.S.! We are planning to make ourselves available for these in Japan.

The Kingdom carries it's own culture and reality
In the authority of the Lord Jesus his Kingdom is carried by us everywhere we go.  Some of the components of that are the culture of LOVE, Nothing is Impossible, Naturally super-natural people, who heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons.  We walk "seeing the unseen" and smash demonic strongholds and captivities through the wisdom and power of the Spirit.

Prayer and especially United Prevailing Prayer changes everything.
It's the "air' of heaven.  The will of the Father is the heartbeat of disciples around the world. Angels and all of heaven move in harmony with the will of the Trinity.  Prayer settles the Family of God down into his presence in power and life changing reality.  Calling forth the new and then moving out into preaching the simple Gospel is dynamic walking in the Spirit.

Thank you to all on our intercession team.  We need your prayers and the open dialogue of the Presence, Power and Peace of the Lord.

Much Love in the Lord,

Jeff and our Japan Mission Team 2016
