4 Keys to Confidence in God. Must Haves in this Doubt Filled World.

Self confidence is one thing.  Overconfidence another.
Divine confidence is different from each of these;
an essential ingredient for every recipe from heaven.  Altogether different.

  Confidence is like gasoline.
In this doubt filled world, walking in the Spirit and following Jesus requires consistent energy.  Holy Spirit energy and power.  It requires knowing.  Experiencing the reality of Lord's presence.

"Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you."  John 17:6-7

Confidence is high octane fuel.
To overcome the world requires power.  Inner grace mixed with faith and a clear sense of identity.  It is a constant mixture of experiencing the love of Jesus and seeing it expressed in the world.  Mix that with divine confidence and soar.

Overcome the world like Jesus.
Eyes on the Father's heart.  Resting in the presence powerfully.  Attentive ears to the Spirit.  Mighty in power through a effective measure of divine confidence.  Knowing God is able.  That his NAME is sufficient.  That Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth.

In the natural confidence is acquired by building successes.
Heaven's economy runs on different fuel.  In the Kingdom of God confidence is acquired by believing in God's successes, who he is and in his NAME.  Successes Jesus won for you and I that are established in his character.   Realities that open doors in failure and fill weaknesses with strengths.

TRUST - trusting in the NAME.
Have you ever heard, "Do you trust me?"
When we say yes, in spite of all facing us, when we trust God, the churning waters of confidence get a foothold and we begin to build step for step a powerful experience in the character of God.   WE come to know.

Faith is.....

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."  Hebrew 11:6

Where do we place our confidence?
Here are some quick keys and critical places to settle into trust, hope and faith.
Places where divine confidence is built.

1)Confidence in the Word of God - Jesus
Scripture reveals who he is, what he is like, his ways, his heart, his love.  Jesus is the logos (WORD) that is speaking to the world everything the Father wants to say.  Heb 1

Build a life that is rich in the Scripture and abiding with the Logos.  (Col 3; John 15)

                             2) Confidence in the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Confidence in Jesus leads us to confidence in what he has taught us.  He is not just the way, as we abide in him we can confidently believe he will lead us in the way we should go.  The Spirit says he will guide us into all Truth.  That essentially means into deeper relationship with Jesus, who is the Truth.   Wondering if your life will be amazing if you follow Jesus?  He is Life, the life.  Follow him and you will have abundant life.  More than you can handle.  Crazy goodness from the heart of God himself.

3) Confidence in Jesus and the work he accomplished for us.
Jesus overcame the world.  This world, the one we are wrestling every day.  He joyously walked in worship through fulfilling the Father's will.  He went to the cross for the joy set before him.  That joy was us.  Seeing us in him.  One with the Father and One with Him.  The blood which he spilled forever took care of what separated us, sin.  And provides victory in righteousness and inner transformation for all who call on him.

4) Confidence in the NAME
At the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.  Jesus laid a new foundation.  He revealed the Father to us.  He established in the world the NAME and a witness of the fullness of God's love, righteousness and worship.   His name reverberates throughout the world with the power, love and grace of new life.

Cement divine confidence into your life by....

1) Putting No confidence in the flesh - Phil 3:3
"for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,..."

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me
    to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident."  Ps 27:1-4

2) Allowing Christ to fill your weakness with strength - I Cor 12:9
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."
Lean on and into GRACE.   We are saved by grace.  Grace overcomes every sin.  Grace heals us and mends our hearts.  Grace is favor.  God's un-merited favor poured out on us.  It fills every weakness with the glory of God.

3) Living daily in Grace, Faith, and Love  - this is the divine recipe for wonders in Jesus.
"In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence,
And His children will have a place of refuge."
Proverbs 14:26 (NKJV)   As you experience the grace, love and joy of the Lord you grow in confidence before the throne.

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.    I John 5:14

Keep the Sign Posts of his love alive!
Answered Prayer - Testimonies of his love - Remember the goodness of the Lord.

Psalm 27:13:
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.”

David reminded himself of what God had done.  Do the same.  Remember the days you killed Giants like Goliath.  Remember all the good things God has done and celebrate them.   Give them away.  That is what his Kingdom is like for others.  He can do all of it again and bigger.  Today.  Now. For you.

"For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Heb 4:16

We serve an unstoppable God.  He is every present help in times of trouble.  A strong tower and a refuge.   Run to him.
