Many believers have a huge void. They Don't Know What They are Here For.

You're here for LOVE.  

You are loved by Jesus who gave up everything, sold off everything, offered his Body, Blood and very life for you to know the Father in the deepest love possible in the UNIVERSE. If you want a love story this is it.   The Father came after us in Jesus Christ.  And he is still moving around the globe calling out to us in love. 

They say space is quiet.  But the stars are all speaking about his love for you every day. (Ps19)

To know Him in the deepest love possible, to be One with Jesus and the Father through the Spirit, is the OPEN DOOR of heaven.     



You and I are here for Love.   

 

To know it.  To share it.  To experience it in the depths of Christ.  To encounter love at every corner of our lives.   We are here for LOVE.  And in Christ every ounce of love we come to know and experience is carried on with us into eternity, into forever with him. 


Is this really true?   
Here are Scripture Words to point the way....
God is LOVE - 1Jo 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

For God so Loved....John 3:16
This is how we know what love is....I John 3:16



"I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion."



"I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one.' I will say to those called ‘Not my people,' ‘You are my people'; and they will say, ‘You are my God.' ” Hos 2:23



"The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zep 3:17



Jesus is the beginning and end of everything in the universe.  He made it all.  And it was made in LOVE, for LOVE, to LOVE.  (Col 1:15f)
One day it will all be in Him complete in Love.  

Paul cries out in prayer,


"so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."  Eph 3:17-19

The Father affirms his son from heaven on earth...


"While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” 



Love is the Key
The Father loves the Son.  The Son loves the World and US.   We share in the depths of love in the Trinity.  If we listen to him we are listening to LOVE.   We are part of that love through the presence, power and peace of Jesus and everything he did for us.  


This LOVE....
Is not worked for or earned.  It fills the universe through God's awesome heart for us.  In Christ it is ours to have, know, encounter, experience, fill up, dance in, rest in.
We can't get it by performing.  We can't get it by demanding.   We receive and welcome it through the Work of Jesus by FAITH.  By trusting in his NAME.
We get it by faith and surrender to Jesus.  He Loves the Father.  When we join his heart we join this love.  (John 17:23)  We are called deeper and deeper every day into his presence and into this love.   Do you hear his voice?  



Don't Get Distracted!
Take your cues from heaven not from problems, strongholds, difficulties or roadblocks.  
Take your cues from LOVE, the VOICE of God in the world.  
The Voice that calls out the deepest longings and grace in our hearts.  
LOVE overcomes every obstacle.  It always hopes and always believes.  
LOVE NEVER FAILS.  
 
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.




Make a Difference in LOVE

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?  Mat 5:46
This love that we know in Jesus is powerful, compelling, overwhelming, beautiful, righteous, holy and pure.  It compels us to do something in his name.   It calls us into his presence with abandon.  It causes us to seek Him in prayer and the quiet every opportunity we have.  It blows the doors off of religion and law.  There is no law against love.   


Love Him in the Morning
Is Love really the highest Goal?  What about Justice?
Some people steeped in religion say "God is not all about love.  He is about justice and righteousness and about judgement."   They focus on sin as if they can destroy it or have any significant effect on it with their words, condemnations and force.  
Well, I have good news for these folks.  Jesus Christ, the righteous, died for us.  In doing so he satisfied the justice of God, nailed sin and the law to the cross and created a whole new person in the world.   A resurrected new creature was born in forever grace and love who overcomes the world in the power of this love.   Jesus satisfied the justice of the Father and paid the price for sin.   
He did say, "IT is FINISHED" as I recall.   


Jesus also said, "God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world."  (John 3:17)    So why are we condemning it all the time? 
It takes LOVE to save the world.  Love is Action.  Love is easy to identify. 
Love him in the Evening

We live in the times of God's great grace.  
Will there be a time of judgement?  Absolutely.  Jesus is coming again.  When he does there will be a reckoning.   People will die in their sins because they did not believe and put their faith in the Son of the Living God.    So put some energy toward showing how much he loves them today.  
Change the course of someones eternity by show them the love of God.
Get to it.  Show and share this love while we have time.

We live in the seasons of GRACE. 
Jesus made a way to the Father's heart.  
By faith we receive it.  Transforming love in amazing doses.  
Intoxicating LOVE.   
Overwhelming LOVE that cannot be quenched.  








What are you waiting for?  
Cry out.  Surrender.  Receive his LOVE.  
Do you want more?   Pursue LOVE in Christ. 
Do you want more?  Give away all that you have.
The amazing thing is the LOVE of God is inexhaustible.  
You cannot out give God in LOVE.
Be an open river of his power, righteous, glorious love.
Pour it out freely on the world -  TODAY.

Life Consistently Throws Me Curve Balls. I Saw Jesus in the Middle of the Storm.

Life consistently throws me curve balls.   Does it do that to you?

Other times, annoying little  problems just trail along behind me or hinder and complicate things in front of me.   
Occasionally challenges and problems swirl together into a perfect little storm.  

The one consistent thing seems to be....

 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.   John 16:33 



Jesus overcame the World.   
I can take heart, trust him and live in joy. 
I can have peace in-spite of everything it throws at me.  
I like that promise.  
I love that King Jesus.


The last 6-8 months of my life have had some interesting challenges.  And at the same time some of the best opportunities to advance the Kingdom of God  - ever.     I had a curve ball job change.  One thing ended, abruptly, and many new things began.   We welcomed a new family member - Rak - our Thai foreign exchange son while we got used to our firstborn living about 2.5 hours away from home; our first to head out into the wild blue.   My middle son totaled our paid off mini-van (he was ok and the other driver) on the way to a ministry night at a local church and God provided for a new vehicle.  I had to rehab a property that our renters trashed.  The list goes on.  

But so does the most incredible grace and glory of God's presence, healing, prophetic encouragement, awesome unity, love and seeing God touch people's lives.   


So, in the midst of all this I was praying one morning and had a waking vision.   
I saw what looked like a tornado.  Things were swirling around in the air.  There were large objects caught up in the wind.  The sky was dark and overcast and the storm was large.



Jesus was standing in the middle of the massive storm.

As it swirled around him, every threat and fear screaming for 
his attention.  He was not touched by it.  
He was not moved at all. 
Joy radiated from his face.  His eyes bright and full, spoke life and victory and triumph.  He rested in the midst of the storm.  
He didn't stop it either.  


I learned something in this vision.   
I typically hope that the Lord will end the trials and challenges I face straight away.  I focus on that in my prayers and thoughts .  
The vision opened my eyes to something.  
Jesus meets the world on the worst terms it could throw at him.  He redeemed it from that point.  We are part of a Kingdom that overcomes the world.  Yet we seem to know so little about doing that very thing.  
I am realizing that may be due to my understanding of problems and difficulty.  


Miracles occur when heaven meets the worst the earth has to throw at people and then completely changes the equation.   


Peter responded to Jesus' request to "go out into deep water and let down the nets for a catch" with "Master. We've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything."    
It all could have ended right there.  
The previous nights labor defining everything for the morning.  
Then, "But because you say so, I will let down the nets."  Peter went on.  
In the words and direction of Jesus there is incredible opportunity and availability for miracles.   How many do we turn aside from just because we want the problem to end?

I realized....

1) My mindset regarding problems could use an overhaul. 
2) The Kingdom of God meets each one of those problems face on.  I have every resource of heaven to see a miracle and for others to see Jesus, when I carry his presence right into the storm.  When I look for his coming in all circumstances. 
3) There is more to life than eliminating our struggles for some utopia life that no one ever gets to have.    

We are the people filled with a love and life that overcomes the world.  Just like Master Jesus, we have every blessing and resource in the Father to see the glory break out where the world says doom and destruction.   Let some glory out!

4 Keys to Confidence in God. Must Haves in this Doubt Filled World.

Self confidence is one thing.  Overconfidence another.  
Divine confidence is different from each of these; 
an essential ingredient for every recipe from heaven.  Altogether different. 


  Confidence is like gasoline. 
In this doubt filled world, walking in the Spirit and following Jesus requires consistent energy.  Holy Spirit energy and power.  It requires knowing.  Experiencing the reality of Lord's presence. 




"Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you."  John 17:6-7





Confidence is high octane fuel.
To overcome the world requires power.  Inner grace mixed with faith and a clear sense of identity.  It is a constant mixture of experiencing the love of Jesus and seeing it expressed in the world.  Mix that with divine confidence and soar.

Overcome the world like Jesus.
Eyes on the Father's heart.  Resting in the presence powerfully.  Attentive ears to the Spirit.  Mighty in power through a effective measure of divine confidence.  Knowing God is able.  That his NAME is sufficient.  That Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth. 



 In the natural confidence is acquired by building successes. 
Heaven's economy runs on different fuel.  In the Kingdom of God confidence is acquired by believing in God's successes, who he is and in his NAME.  Successes Jesus won for you and I that are established in his character.   Realities that open doors in failure and fill weaknesses with strengths.  





TRUST - trusting in the NAME.
Have you ever heard, "Do you trust me?"  
When we say yes, in spite of all facing us, when we trust God, the churning waters of confidence get a foothold and we begin to build step for step a powerful experience in the character of God.   WE come to know. 


Faith is.....

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."  Hebrew 11:6




Where do we place our confidence? 
Here are some quick keys and critical places to settle into trust, hope and faith.  
Places where divine confidence is built.


1)Confidence in the Word of God - Jesus  
Scripture reveals who he is, what he is like, his ways, his heart, his love.  Jesus is the logos (WORD) that is speaking to the world everything the Father wants to say.  Heb 1

Build a life that is rich in the Scripture and abiding with the Logos.  (Col 3; John 15)




                             2) Confidence in the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

 Confidence in Jesus leads us to confidence in what he has taught us.  He is not just the way, as we abide in him we can confidently believe he will lead us in the way we should go.  The Spirit says he will guide us into all Truth.  That essentially means into deeper relationship with Jesus, who is the Truth.   Wondering if your life will be amazing if you follow Jesus?  He is Life, the life.  Follow him and you will have abundant life.  More than you can handle.  Crazy goodness from the heart of God himself.  


3) Confidence in Jesus and the work he accomplished for us. 
Jesus overcame the world.  This world, the one we are wrestling every day.  He joyously walked in worship through fulfilling the Father's will.  He went to the cross for the joy set before him.  That joy was us.  Seeing us in him.  One with the Father and One with Him.  The blood which he spilled forever took care of what separated us, sin.  And provides victory in righteousness and inner transformation for all who call on him. 




4) Confidence in the NAME
At the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.  Jesus laid a new foundation.  He revealed the Father to us.  He established in the world the NAME and a witness of the fullness of God's love, righteousness and worship.   His name reverberates throughout the world with the power, love and grace of new life.  


Cement divine confidence into your life by....

1) Putting No confidence in the flesh - Phil 3:3
"for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,..." 

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
    of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me
    to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
    even then I will be confident."  Ps 27:1-4


2) Allowing Christ to fill your weakness with strength - I Cor 12:9
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." 
Lean on and into GRACE.   We are saved by grace.  Grace overcomes every sin.  Grace heals us and mends our hearts.  Grace is favor.  God's un-merited favor poured out on us.  It fills every weakness with the glory of God. 



3) Living daily in Grace, Faith, and Love  - this is the divine recipe for wonders in Jesus.
"In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence,
And His children will have a place of refuge."
Proverbs 14:26 (NKJV)   As you experience the grace, love and joy of the Lord you grow in confidence before the throne.  



 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.    I John 5:14



Keep the Sign Posts of his love alive!  
Answered Prayer - Testimonies of his love - Remember the goodness of the Lord. 


Psalm 27:13:
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.”


David reminded himself of what God had done.  Do the same.  Remember the days you killed Giants like Goliath.  Remember all the good things God has done and celebrate them.   Give them away.  That is what his Kingdom is like for others.  He can do all of it again and bigger.  Today.  Now. For you.    



"For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Heb 4:16 


We serve an unstoppable God.  He is every present help in times of trouble.  A strong tower and a refuge.   Run to him.

There are NO DEAD ENDS in God. The world is full of dead ends - Frustration and Famine. Jesus is the new and living way.

The ways of God are very different from our own. 


People say he is a last minute God.  
Yes. Sometimes a perfect situation seems to be set up for God to come in a the very last moment and deliver us.

 Backed up against the Red Sea, Israel had no options but to trust in the great God who had delivered them.  You know in that crowd many predicted in their hearts that this was the end.  They had no ideas.  No options.  No hopes of surviving the Egyptian army barreling toward them. 

Moses struck the water and the whole sea parted.  One of the most mind boggling miracles occurred.  Our God has NO DEAD ENDS.  There is always a way in him.  This is one of his ways.


 A woman came to our church.  She came back because the Lord had healed her knee some time earlier.  Now she had a serious illness and needed healing.   She came forward for prayer but was not comfortable explaining the illness.  We waited on the Lord and prayed.  The Lord said "Endometriosis" to me.  I didn't even know what it was.  I said, "I am hearing Endometriosis. Is this the problem?"   The answer was "yes".  We prayed for her and she was healed.   
In God there are NO DEAD ENDS. 

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
    I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
    When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
    it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God,
    The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you..."  Isaiah 43


The world is full of dead ends - Frustration and Famine.  Jesus can free us from these things and so much more.  He opened a new and living way.  
Hebrews 10:19-21


A few dead ends of the world..... 
"When people tell you, “Try out the fortunetellers. Consult the spiritualists.Why not tap into the spirit-world, get in touch with the dead?”Tell them, “No, we’re going to study the Scriptures.”
People who try the other ways get nowhere—a dead end! Frustrated and famished, they try one thing after another.When nothing works out they get angry,cursing first this god and then that one,Looking this way and that,up, down, and sideways—and seeing nothing, A blank wall, an empty hole. They end up in the dark with nothing.  Isaiah 8:19-22

 20 On that Day men and women will take the sticks and stones They've decked out in gold and silver to look like gods and then worshiped, And they will dump them in any ditch or gully...
Isaiah 1:20 



 "What a generation you turned out to be! 
Didn't I tell you? 
Didn't I warn you? 
Have I let you down, Israel? 
Am I nothing but a dead-end street? 
Why do my people say, 'Good riddance! From now on we're on our own'?  
32 Young women don't forget their jewelry, do they? 
Brides don't show up without their veils, do they? 
But my people forget me. 
Day after day after day they never give me a thought.
Isaiah 2:31-32


THERE ARE NO DEAD ENDS IN GOD.  The spirit of the world would seek to swallow us alive; Cause us to forget the wonders of our own testimony.  It hungers to remove the glory of God from us and cause us to forget him in the confusion and panic of seeking a way out.  

I have good news for you.  
In Jesus their is a way out.  There are NO DEAD ENDS in GOD.
There is a new and living way in Jesus Christ that opens the very heavens up.  Jesus opened the way to the Father's heart for us.  We share his relationship with Abba!  


What if you began looking for God's deliverance everywhere?  
What if you believed there was a way out?  
Believed that in our God there is never a dead end?  
You would seek, ask, knock and find the open door. 

Have you ever adopted your perception of the situation or your prediction of the outcome as reality?  
Why not believe the Scripture testimony and let the God with no dead ends show you the doorway to deliverance and freedom?  
Our God is always perfectly on time?  
He lives outside of time and wonderfully works within it.  
He is timeless and ageless.  
We are filled with the dread of time.  Fears That it is running out.  
God has no such fears or worries.  
He is always on time for the highest grace and glory in Jesus. 


IN Christ Jesus we are living forever.  NOW.  Today is forever's beginning.  



"Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; 
And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, 
For He will abundantly pardon.  
8"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.  
9"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, 
So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.…"  
Isaiah 55:7-9


Testimony?  Testimony?  
Remember the stories of his awesome deliverance.  Remember what he has done for you.  Remember stories and things he has done for others.  Remember the scriptures stories of Jesus and his healing power.  

What can you share about how the goodness of God has erupted into your life?
Find the latest story.  Dust off any old one you may have.  They are still good stories.  They still say the same things.  Let them speak fresh understanding to your current circumstances.  

And REMEMBER....
THERE are NO DEAD ENDS in our GOD.

Who has all the Treasures, Wisdom and Knowledge of the World?

"...resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."  Col 2:2-3

As diverse as the world is, there are millions of amazing things to focus on, delve into, explore, and search out.   We can be forever learning, growing in knowledge and insight all our lives.  

In the vast ocean of wonder there are thousands of crashing waves calling for our attention but not leading us to the one relationship, focus and passion that is changing everything forever.  

Jesus

Jesus is the Way
Jesus is the Truth
Jesus is the Life
Jesus is the Bread of life
Jesus is the Word (logos)
Jesus is the Firstborn
Jesus is the First
Jesus is the Last
Jesus is the Alpha
Jesus is the Omega
Jesus was dead and now is alive
Jesus the beloved Son
Jesus is the Bridegroom
This list could go on for up to 200 names.....

His NAME means the deepest connection with the Father's heart for million upon millions the world over.   Direct connection to a freedom words can scarcely connect with or express.  Nearly every tribe, language, country, geography has been touched by his love, grace and mercy.  


He has touched, healed, changed, blessed, renewed, restored, forgiven, cleansed, encouraged, built up, upheld, lifted up, redeemed, ransomed, millions of people and he continues to do so as you read this.  


IN CHRIST.....

Treasures of Knowledge

Jesus knows everything there is to know about....
Physics
Math
Language
Laughter
Joy
Compassion
Craftsmanship
The Arts
On and on into every discipline, grace in the mind of humanity,  the God who made all things...


For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  Col 1:16

is pouring out love, relationship, wisdom, knowledge, treasures for humanity through Jesus Christ.  

Believers have direct access to the treasures of wisdom and knowledge...
Those reaping the benefits of the work and rule and reign of Jesus Christ by faith have access to the very heart of the Father in Heaven, the throne of glory, the heavenly temple in which Jesus, Our High Priest, is eternally calling forth a witness of all he accomplished to every heavenly host.    Rev 4


Remember the crashing waves.

The world is consistently screaming for us to look away from the Christ.  Even our day to day doctrine and understandings of walking in Jesus' Kingdom are not complete enough to constantly remind us of our one true connection, focus and joy - abiding in the presence of Jesus Christ.    Wave after wave seeks to drive us into the sandy beach of wandering, confusion and distraction.   

He has given us a simple way.....
"I am the Way"  John 14:6
"Follow Me"

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 25"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.…"  Matt 16:24-25

Follow him.  He is Risen.  He is alive.  He communicates.  He speaks.  He encourages.  He loves.  Follow Him.    


"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.…" John 15:4


Your life is hidden in him 

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."  Col 3:2-3


How many treasures are hidden in him that are intended to be poured into your life???
How many secrets of wisdom?
How many key pieces of knowledge - treasure knowledge - knowledge that alters the flow of humanity and changes whole families forever - are waiting to be handed to you? 
How many treasures for Business...
Commerce
Government
Science
Family
Relationships
are hidden in Him, waiting for someone to pursue Him with an abandon and faith that pours out these treasures on the world.  


The Kingdom rule and reign of Jesus is....
Not what we don't have but what we have -  Two fish and some bread were enough.  Mark 6:30-44    
What do you have?  
Access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  

The greatest joy, a joy that fills every cell of your body, every nook and crany of your mind, every mysterious crevasse of the soul, every vast and heavenly expanse of your spirit, is seeing the face of Jesus.   

He is the treasure of heaven.  

Expend extravagant Faith.
Use all your energy.
Spend all your desires on him first.  


Life, Truth and the Way will unfold out of that face to face.
